I just saw Lidia Bastianich make this and oh boy did it look good! She used
frozen green peas, pancetta and onion, both of which were chopped. She cooked those first until the bacon was rendered then added the peas. Dang! I wish I had bacon now. Looked sooo good! I do have a jar of bacon bits but I don't think those would work. |

She chopped the pancetta and onion, cooked it together, added the peas and I think a very small amount of salt. No olive oil. No parsley. No broth that I remember. |
