It might interest people in the US that World Market, a chain of
furniture, food and wine importers has English Pickled Onions, in brown vinegar. They are pretty good, IMHO. -- Jim Silverton (Potomac, MD) Extraneous "not" in Reply To. |

They are pretty good, IMHO. Thanks for the tip. We have a "World Market" a couple of miles up the highway from our house. I visited it once. I'll buy the English Pickled Onions on your recommendation. I still have half of a bottle of Marconi Sport Peppers that are a little bit chewy. They even sell Bosco! Their food section is exotic and pretty neat. leo |

Sounds like an interesting place. Unfortunately, despite what the store locator says on their web site, Massachusetts is not close to Maryland... |

I like to go in there and look around but I don't buy a lot of food from them. I do like their spices and dried shallots. But most of what they sell can be bought from other places here. They do have great prices though! And you can shop online. |

But it is closer to MD than VA, right?<g> NY is too. Everything is relative. Beats driving to England when you want some pickled onions. [and there is free shipping on orders over $150] http://www.worldmarket.com/ Jim |
