I've been meaning to tell you, my new thermo probe arrived from US) The
cord is different and better. It isn't metal like the old one but seems to
be made of silicone so doesn't crick (iyswim) The alarm isn't so loud which
is a shame but on the whole I am well pleased

What brand is it? I'll be looking for the silicone-coated ones when I
need to replace my current unit.

Taylor. Just like the one you sent me. Very simple stuff. No toggling
through various meats etc, just plain entering the temp/time you want.
