Default Tuesday Morning Maple Syrup find

If you have a Tuesday Morning in your area, check it for maple syrup.
They have the Lapierre Maple Farm Organic Pure Maple Syrup in the one
quart size for $16.99.

I just looked and Amazon has it for $50 for a quart.

Tuesday Morning is far too dangerous on my wallet for me to go there
"just" for maple syrup. I'd need to wear blinders!

I can hardly stand to be in the store here, it is so clutered and
crammed full of stuff it's hard to get around. Makes my skin crawl.

There used to be a Tuesday Morning somewhere on the outskirts of
Beaufort, SC. I remember walking around in there and thinking it was a
mess! As far as I could tell it was clean. But they didn't have
anything I wanted. I think it went out of business. There are a lot of
empty storefronts in that area of town.

I do recall seeing a couple of large, deep *heavy* hammered copper
bowls. They were cheap. If you're into this sort of thing, they
probably could have been fitted to be used as raised bathroom sinks.
Don't ask me to polish them!

Where does it say it was bottled or 'made'? That's a good price on the face of it.

They certainly do vary wildly. Some of them remind me of the KMart
that failed here. It was always a mess too.

local T.M.

The local Big Lots is a mess too... maybe that's where they work.

How does organic maple syrup differ from the regular maple syrup, which
is made from sap that has been tapped from trees growing in a forest.
AFAIK, that's as organic as it gets.

I pay $18 a litre at the local maple farm.

I think you have to complete the paperwork that certifies that the
trees are growing in a forest, fed by organic deer poop etc, and pay
a fee.

==========

I'm with you there. I don't like all the clutter, it's almost claustrophic
feeling to me.

Here too. TM moved out of town to Stockton last year so don't know what it
looks like there, but it was a mess here.

They sell it on their web site for $17 (plus shipping)

It is a good year for syrup in the part of the country with high sap
yields. Prices are about $12 to $20 a quart.

$17 plus shipping. Still a better bargain at Tuesday Morning.
