Have you used this before? I bought some dried but wasn't sure how much to
put in. I keep reading all these cautions about it. It smells like
gasoline! You'll either love it or hate it! Use sparingly and towards the
end of cooking or it can turn bitter.

Well... It didn't smell like gasoline. Not even remotely so. Actually
smelled perhaps a little like parsley. I tasted it straight from the jar.
Tasted fine. Added a pinch to my pinto bean stew. Tasted. Fine. Added
another pinch. Still fine. Then added the purple Cherokee heirloom
tomatoes from Sur La Table and am letting it cook down a little more. It's
a little more liquidy than I want. I made quite a large batch. Plan to
freeze about half of it then use it later, mixed with some brown rice.

So what's your experience with this herb? Me? I love it!

Yes. I did read that. Thankfully I'm not a worm.

The Yakima Fruit Stand has epazote plants for sale. I may have to pick
up one or two, along with some basil this week. They also have tomatillo
plants. I am sorely tempted, but the upper deck at Casa Sammamish could
get crowded.
