Wednesday, May 8th
at 5:30 p.m.
And then again every other Wednesday night.

$9.95 per person (not including gratuity and tax). Plus you get ONE
free beer! Domestic draft beer. Or $2 off an "alternate beverage".

Please note, while the drawing of the burger *looks* like a hamburger on
a sesame seed bun, they serve their burgers on - you guessed it! -
Kaiser rolls. LOL

The advertisement for this event is intended to make you think there's
standing room only. The "overflow" will be in the Tabby Room. Okay,
the Pub Room is pretty darn big. I can't really imagine people flocking
to the club for a hamburger simply to get a free beer or cheaper
cocktail. Hamburgers are on the menu every day, not just Wednesdays.
Same price, BTW. LOL

Yes, they add 18.5%. Seems some of the rich old farts weren't tipping
the waitstaff or bartenders. They starting adding the gratuity to the
check this year.

I will say, I've never gotten bad service there. If I did, I'd ask to
speak to the dining room manager and demand not to be charged a gratuity
for bad service. (I doubt I'd get very far with that. They'd probably
say the computer system doesn't allow it. LOL) But I've never had bad
service. Just bad food.

That's not a bad price for a burger and beer. If the burger turns out
to be any good, I'd mark Wednesdays on the calendar and go.

ordering take out occasionally, plus poking a little fun at it works
for her - that's fine by me.

Her OT threads are easy enough to kill. Have you not figured out how
to work a kill file or are you too cheap to find a news reader with

Not a bad price if it includes fries. A 1/2 pound cheeseburger and
fries is $6.99 at a local place.

I don't drink beer so the $2 had better cover a Diet Coke.

We are having burgers for dinner tonight.... making them here.

my newsreader has a kill, but it does not know how to read a post and
determine if it is OT.

Maybe free. Some places charge over $2 for a soft drink. How else
can they have those $9.95 dinners?

that is not a tip or "gratuity". It is a service charge. In some states,
that does not have to be paid over to the staff by management.

I was wrong about the regular price of the burger... on the regular Pub
menu (both lunch and dinner) a burger is $9.50 not $9.95. So they've
jacked up the price to cover that *one* "free" glass of draft beer.
