Just a nit- but, IMO, neither of those vehicles had "Storm Chasers"
in them. One was a meteorologist who posted to his Facebook page
afterward how stupid he was--
The other was a couple of rednecks who were trying to outrun a
tornado.

*Real* tornado chasers drive vehicles that just hunker down when the
storm turns towards them-<g>

Heh 'nit' all you like, I am just copying the story! I know nothing about
such things I sent it for Marty because he has a relative who 'chases'
tornados; being a scientist.

The article doesn't mention that the tornado abruptly turned and
caught 3 different storm chaser vehicles. One vehicle held
meteorologists for the Weather Channel. One vehicle held two
meteorology students who had been chasing together for 3 years.
Another vehicle held chasers for a local TV station. That TV station
is an integral part of Oklahoma City's tornado warning system. They
were all experienced chasers who were caught off guard by this storm.
They were all very lucky, but from what I heard, none of them were
attempting to get closer at the time they got caught, but were trying
to evade it. Still, I wouldn't like any of my family being a chaser.
Exciting video though.

Other reports did but this was the first I had seen in a newspaper. I
posted it for Marty, knowing his nephew was a scientist who worked with such
things.
