Default Another Wacky Recipe

This one comes from a cookbook published by a real estate company in
west TN. Trust me, this ain't pizza!

Crock Pot Pizza

1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 14 oz. jar pizza sauce
1 14 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
1 12 oz. package Kluski noodles [?!]
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pkg. sliced pepperoni
1 can mushrooms (optional)
1 diced green pepper (optional)

Brown beef and diced onion. Drain. Add pizza and spaghetti sauces.
Add mushrooms and pepper if desired. Simmer on low. In a separate pan,
boil noodles per package directions until tender. Drain. In crock-pot,
layer ingredients: noodles, meat mixture, cheeses and pepperoni. Use
half of the ingredients and repeat. Cook on HIGH setting 30 minutes.
Reduce to LOW setting for one hour or until cheese melts.

Sounds positively... Sandra Lee-ish.

That sounds like the type of recipe you'd make in college dorm room.

Pringles makes, or at least they used to make, a pizza flavored potato
chip.

Klusky noodles are a very thick egg noodle. Sold dried. Not sure if they
are still made or not. Have seen similar but does not appeal to me.

Don't know if they still make that but they do make pizza flavored sticks.

Thanks, I was trying to figure out what they looked like and the
descriptions didn't sound like anything I've seen "half moon shape" is
what I remember now (not going back to look). In any case, I am not
Jewish so I don't study Jewish food - but I know I've seen noodles
that looks like your image in the Kosher section of the grocery store.
If I'm thinking about it, I'll see if the word "Kluski" is on the
package, but I don't think it is.

My Costco has always carried (can't remember the name on package) a
thick noodle (maybe a 16th of an inch or so) They take a long time to
cook. They look like you would imagine that Grandma made back at the
end of the 19th century.

Somewhere I have a recipe for fried small pizzas (pizzette fritte) where the
dough is made with more potatoes than flour, I make disks about 4" in
diameter and 1/2" thick, fry them and top them with a tomato sauce (oil,
garlic, tomato, s&p) and grated parmigiano reggiano. The dough end up very
soft and tasty, this snack is very quick at disappearing from serving dishes
