Default OT but very important....RFID in your credit cards

WATCH FOR THE SYMBOL ON YOUR NEW CARDS

OK, folks......this is VERY important for you to know......You really
need to
watch this video----then PASS it on to everyone you know.

Wi-If Symbol on your Credit Card

YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING. WATCH VIDEO AND CHECK YOUR CARDS.
I GUESS WE GO BACK TO CASH.

Check your newer credit cards for the Wi-If Symbol on it. You need to
watch the video below to really know why I am posting this.

I read this about a couple weeks ago, and then checked my cards for
the little "Wi-If Signal Icon" on each one. I found none w/that signal
on them, but I was determined to watch for it when my cards came in on
renewals. Well, yesterday I got my CHASE SLATE card AND THERE IT WAS !
My first time to see it. I'll not activate that card after seeing
this. I guess I'll go to the bank and see if I can replace it w/a non
Wi-If (Radio Frequency Card)....?
Thought all my friends ought to see this if you've not already seen
this demo ...

Hyperventilate much?

If you're really worried about this, just line your wallet with aluminum
foil -- easiest way is to cut a piece of heavy duty foil the size of a
dollar bill and put it in the outer pocket.

Here's what Snopes says about it.
http://www.snopes.com/fraud/identity/pickpocket.asp

I looked at the two cards I carry with me all the time and neither one
has the wifi RFID symbol, but it's good to know that we can request a
card without the embedded chip.

For a limited time only... they don't want you to use cash

As much as I'm not keen on rfid cards (they're not wi-fi), we've had
them for a year or so in Aus and I've yet to hear of any actual
problems in real life.

We haven't requested anything but none of our chase cards have one.

Or you can buy an aluma wallet -- as seen on TV -- at the As Seen On
TV department of your favorite store.

I like the aluminum foil idea better and would use it except my cards
don't have that symbol... maybe it's because they don't double as
debit cards.

Um.....no. I'm not a troll. I had never seen this before. I got
an email from a friend and I thought I would share it with my fellow
board members.
So sue me.

I've never seen anything like this but yes, tinfoil actually does help.

Won't that also scramble the magnetic strip on the back?

I wouldn't try it. It may arc and burn. Hammer And punch works if you know
the spot.
