Google groups has done a bit of upgrading.
They actually pay attention to reports of abuse now. I have reported all these hateful posts from the racist troll. I hope they just ban him completely from google groups. |

The rfc group on Facebook can be a pleasure to read. And I do use kill-files. I only have so much time and what some people write just doesn't interest me... and I can live without the trolls. So I pop them in the kill-file and the pile of drek that I have to sift through is much smaller. George L |

Evidently the troll is still posting. I reported a few and wondered why there isn't an option to flag ALL a posters thread at one time. Anybody listening at Google? They should have foreseen this. If there IS a blanket flag, I'd like to know about it. |

Obviously they haven't taken any notice, because his posts are still there on googlegroups. Get yourself a proper newsreader with a killfile, then you won't see them. Janet UK |

Some of the abusers are jsut a flash in the pan, some immature little ass who will get a cheap thrill out of bombing a slew of groups with a mass of idiotic and offensive posts and then disappear. For nym shifters et al who are just an obvious flash in the pan, I limit the kill time after their last post. I only bother to filter them if they reappear. If people are stupid enough to respond to them I filter the topic. When someone spends way too much time replying to trolls and that is all they are doing, they join the trolls in the filter. |
