My wife does not wear makeup. I want to kiss her, not a coating of
chemicals.

Some women do look OK with it, but when you go too far, you can look
hideous with strange colors and unnatural eyebrows.

I expect you are right I've had recipes from here, but none that we
liked. I even grew them myself but no difference! The only way we like is
as ratatouille but there is a limit to how much of that we can eat.

So, do you have recipes for all those things? That would be more useful
than pictures.

You are lookin' good, girl. All of our pics on the Mugshot page are
old, mine included, we put them up years ago. Many of us are on Facebook
and our photos are current. I know you have no interest in Facebook, but
it has been fun, and the rfc page is active.

Our supermarkets have a handful of green squashes, chayote and pattypan
being two of them. When I have time, I will have to check out the other
ones and see what they are. Yellow crookneck and acorn are probably my
favorite squashes.

My local supermarket usually has green and yellow squashes that are
about the same size and price. I don't think they are labelled zucchini.
Those are the ones I normally use tho' I often bake chayote.

Does jicama count as a squash? I know it's not in the cucumber family
botanically and I usually eat it uncooked, particularly in gazpacho and
there is a shrimp stir-fry where it works well.

Wikipedia says it is a yam bean, and what we refer to as "jicama", is
the root of this pant. It tastes good in salads.

I have been using polish since I was a kid. Constantly since the age of 12.
I just don't like the feel of my nails without it on. My mom never wore
polish and her nails were always sharp to me. The polish softens the feel
of my nails and helps keep them from breaking. I used to have longer nails
but I no longer like the long ones. They do grow pretty quickly so despite
my trying to keep them short, they will get longer than I want sometimes.

Ain't you ever heared a piture is worth a thousand woids...

I honestly can't remember ever using a recipe to prepare veggies, I
certainly never measure... when the pot/bowl is full it's the correct
amount. I usually measure rice and its cooking liquid but not very
accurately, not necessary, rice is not an acurate ingredient. Oh, and
I'll divide a one pound box of pasta with a scale, but only so I'll
have a half pound remaining for next time I want to add pasta to a
tossed salad... but again, accuracy is far from critical. I've never
in my life used a measuring spoon, they are totally useless except to
amuse infants... I can measure out salt in my hand with far more
accuracy than you can with a measuring spoon, and I'll do it
blindfolded... there is NEVER a reason to measure salt anyway, not
ever, in fact one should never use the full amount of salt stated in
any recipe, use no more than about half. You can always add more
later (to taste) but there is no way to remove excessive salt.

I guess I'm supposed to be embarrassed because gee, I'm 10 years older
and didn't go to a professional photographer. My troll friend
definitely hasn't gotten any more mature.

That pic was taken at The Foolish Frog. Lunch that day was battered
fried shrimp with house-made potato chips and a nice cocktail sauce.

You look like you are enjoying yourself in that picture. I really prefer
that type of relaxed photo to formal studio pictures. I would look a lot
worst than that if someone were to grab one of my pictures while I'm
enjoying a pleasant afternoon without trying to "dress up" for a photo.
Come to think of it, I could look a lot worse even if I *am* trying to look
my best.

Probably. But I have nothing to hide. I'm certainly not ashamed of the
way I look.

I think any home owner can find a sunny spot of ground to plant a
garden. And every property has problems to overcome, I get much too
much rain and my bottom land holds water like a sponge... with all the
cold and wet it was only a couple days ago was I able to plant. I'll
have a short growing season but I'll be happy for whatever crops I
get... every year is an adventure. It rained again today, I was out
with the chainsaw cutting up two dead trees that fell where I mow, I
was soaked, but I wasn't going to stop until I was done. It was worth
it, in late afternoon, after the rain stopped, I looked out and got my
reward for a job well done:

This one? http://www.foodsubs.com/Photos/globesquash.jpg
I was able to buy that type along with others at a green market a few
blocks from my house, it also carried different types of eggplant
beyond the usual big ubiquitous big "egg shaped" one we think of
first. Unfortunately, the store changed hands and the selection went
mainstream and boring.

Oh, Jill has a follower! He will spend hours, days, weeks, years, digging
for dirt. I've had one for over 10 years How long have you had yours,
Jill?

My 'follower' copies posts I make to other groups hoping to cause trouble
for me. The last time, someone advised me to use X no archive, but as I
said, I wouldn't make a lot of difference because they follow me around
copying posts I make, if they think they can use them to cause trouble for
me. *shrug* They are the ones who make themselves look bad and when
someone tries to advise you on how to prevent it, you know they have been
sussed.

So, all I can say is, they look bad, not you!

Looking at the Web, there are pictures of Kuta that look like your
link. The one I grew had no markings and was pale green, sort of like
the color of paper in a steno pad.

Hmmm, I'd guess around five years. Hell of a way to waste time, isn't it?

There are so many different seeds available for eggplant, summer and
winter squash, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. As the world becomes smaller,
favored and heritage varieties from different countries become
available. Immigrants bring seeds from home with them as well. It's
fun to try out new stuff every year.
