Default I bought a tomato. Help!

I bought a tomato.

But I got no bread, and I got no lettuce, and I got no ingredients for
making salsa.

I got cheese.

Any ideas? I'm just a Pooh bear.

Grate your raw tomato and fry your cheese in a nonstick pan to use
like a cracker with the grated tomato.

Here's an actual recipe (use what you have)
http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/ba..._tomatoes.html

Baked Parmesan Tomatoes

4 tomatoes, sliced
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground pepper, to taste
4 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil

Preheat oven to 450° F.

Place tomatoes cut-side up on a baking sheet. Top with Parmesan,
oregano, salt and pepper. Drizzle with oil

Bake until the tomatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.

Use a gorilla to grill your tomato and cheese...

No bread. When you grill decent cheese the oils come out and the cheese
crisps up. Plop on a slice of tomato and fold the cheese around it while
still warm and soft before removing from the pan. End result a cheese
cracker of sorts around a slice of tomato. de and re constructed grilled
cheese w/ tomato.

Oh. I wouldn't think that would work with a tomato in it but then I've
never tried it.

It's called "Frico". This is only one of many variations, some are
fancier than others - but his parameters were both limited and
unclear. http://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/2012/10/frico

Kind of like a grilled cheese, but light on the bread and heavy on the
tomato. I see what you mean.

Interesting. Maybe I'll cover with a pile of grated parm/romano and brown
it. It kind of reminds me of making salt-crusted fish (under a mound of
salt).

Great u having both tomato and cheese and hope u have sugar, salt and chillipowder. U can prepare tomato sauce using all these 5 ingredients.

Step1: Boil 5 tomato and peel the skin. Grind the tomato make it to paste.
Step2: Heat cheese add tomato paste, 1/2tbs chilli powder, 5tbs spoon of sugar and pinch of salt stir till it gets thick consistency.
Step3: Fill in tight container and store it in refridgerator.

You can use this as sauce or chutney for the dishes u like. It will be very tasty and Yummy. Highly goes with bread, sandwich, salad, chapatthi, etc.,

Does anyone just love heated (from the sun) thick sliced or chunked garden
tomato with salt and pepper? Since she is so food challenged, Poo should
save the cheese for the next meal or get to the grocery store.

Nothing better! That was my breakfast this morning -- a sliced home-
grown tomato with salt.

Very good, but even better between two warm slices of buttered toast.
Now that's a breakfast!

I don't know about payback, but sf's responses have been a great
illustration about why any real talk
about cooking takes place elsewhere.

My system seems to be more tolerant of tomatoes than it had been for a
number of years. I have fond memories of toasted tomato sandwiches with
tomatoes straight out of the garden.... with or without mayo.

I very often fill a two quart bowl with tomatoes, cukes, peppers,

No one is more crude, rude, uncouth, and ignorant than blimp assed sf,
obviously in a nasty mood from looking in a mirror at her grossly
obese cellulite ass... one huge pock marked cheek wouldn't fit in a

That sounds very good, Sheldon. I sure miss my gardening days.

A friend gave me 3 garden tomatoes the other day. One I ate just with salt
and pepper. The second one became tomato sandwiches on fresh white bread
with mayo (and S&P).

The third tomato will go into a side dish today. It's the Betty Crocker,
"Suddenly Salad," classic mix with pasta. It was on sale this weekend.
That's a little "blah" on it's own but can be enhanced nicely. I played with
this years ago and came up with 2 small changes. You follow box directions
but when they say to add 2 TBS oil, I'll add 1 TBS oil and 1.5 TBS mayo.
Then I add in a chopped garden tomato. The mayo and especially the tomato
turns it into a very decent side.

Correction to the above process. (It's been years since I've made this). I
just made it again today though.. One TBS olive oil and 3-4 TBS mayo. I
just made it and it's to die for. In fridge now to chill for later.
