I used to like buffets for the value, but when I look at how much I
actually eat, not a value. I do like the variety though.

The main reason I don't like buffets anymore is that too many times I've
seen people stick their fingers in the food or pick it up with their
hands. Or lift the sneeze guard and leave it up and no one shuts it.
I'm usually not germaphobic but buffets are my exception to the rule.

No, no, not you! Whoever the nym shifter is that keeps posting about you
and Marty. Frankly I don't who he/she is. Just wish it would stop.

I have never seen anyone pick up the food with their hands but I have seen
them slop stuff where it doesn't go and I have even done that myself but
certainly not on purpose. I accidentally flung radish slices at the
taqueria the other day when they slipped out of the tongs.

Sometimes the buffets that charge per pound can be a good deal. Really
depends on what you get. The one at Central Market charges $8.99 per pound
so not such a good deal but we still do use it when we need little dabs of
things. But some of the hospitals have ones that are super good bargains
and the food is all healthy. Not that I would choose a hospital as a
destination to eat but... A lot of people do. At Swedish anyway...

I do miss cafeterias although if I went into one today I would likely have
issues with the quality of the food, particularly after it sat on the steam
table for hours. But I do remember them fondly from my childhood. And I
also wish I had gone to an automat. They looked like fun!

Giggle. Did you purposely put the cucumber (or pickke) spear in the
front?

I dont get the thing about not being able to bite the cucumber spears.
Julie described them as each being the size of a mini cuke. I can fit
one of those in my mouth to bite.

Just call me Linda ;-)

I said they were bigger than that. And it wasn't just a matter of eating
those. They were covered in hummus.

I did not try to eat them. But the two who did said they were just too
large and unwieldy.

What goes around comes around and I'm glad someone is finally dogging
his nasty-ass tail. Spin is getting back only a small fraction of
what he's been doling out for years and if you haven't noticed what he
does to others, then you've had blinders on. I think Casa Bono is
giving Spin exactly what he deserves: a huge dose of his own medicine.
He's no poor innocent little thing that's suddenly being picked on by
some horrible big bully. He brought it upon himself.

We had an interesting incident at lunch today. After the meal, they
asked the usual "how did you like it" thing... so we told them. We
prefaced our remark by saying we liked it a lot (it was eaten
completely but it needed to be refined), so we told them what we
thought - which was that it was too salty for today's palate. The
item was taken off the bill without our asking or even hinting. When
the bill came we told them they didn't have to do that. We were
willing to pay for it, we certainly consumed all of it - but they
asked us how we liked it, so we gave them our critique (which wasn't
meant to be nasty or criticizing, just to inform them about what other
customers might expect for future reference).

Wow! I remember having a piece of pie taken off of my bill when luckily
before eating it, I saw half of a cockroach in it. They did offer to cut me
a piece from the other side of the pie. I was like... Uh... No! The pie
was not made there. And the place that made the pie shut down not long
after. I think I probably have had a few things taken off of my bill over
the years but can't remember the particulars.

I do remember getting some bean dip with a hair in it. We pointed it out to
them. They took it away. Did not offer to bring another and did charge us
for it. That was the last time that we ate there. My mom kept thinking
that she liked the place. We kept trying to tell her that the food wasn't
that good and it was very overpriced. She could never remember any of that.
But the hair was the last straw. Yes, I know that a hair in the food could
happen anywhere. It was the way that they dealt with it that was bad. Not
even an apology.

Answering Steve. You would not be seeing it if you have it KFd. It
changes names every day, but is getting Abzero responses. Oh hang on,
I think one person replied to it in the last few days. Guess who?

Good job! It's my belief that the experience question/questionnaire
really is meant to help the business. I'm sure the wait person will
have noted somewhere why the meal was complimentary.

Wow...your grasp of the situation is so...um...what's the
word...mundane...yes, mundane, that it boggles the mind that you
would even want anyone to to be aware that you're so ill-informed.

I will do myselfd a really BIG favour now and srop you without
ceremony into the bozo bin. Bye bye, little person on no
consequence.

Somebody is actually supporting the guy? Now THAT is psycho.

What did you do, hire him to do this childish stunt? That would
explain your unusual attraction to the little pig right from Day One.

In any case, it's no sweat off of my back. I've killfiled it and all
it's incarnations and deviations and will continue to do so. I will
not engage nor encourage him as you are doing. You two are the real
"Group Killers". The only people this is harming is his own
self-respect and the people who don't or can't use a killfile. And of
course you Barbara. He has a made a huge, embarrassing fool out of
you. But you seem to be a willing and eager participant so you have
brought that wrath upon yourself.

Carry on.

And how, exactly, do Middiot's inane and relentless replies hurt Sqwertz at all? I doubt he reads them. ****wit.

Pity you had not done that earlier. No one else replied to the idiot,
and if you had not replied to him those of us who already had him in the
twit filter would not have seen his diaper spill out onto our screens.

Yes they were, and the age they were very nearly equates to our resident
trolls' behavioral actions here.

Frankly, I was being charitable applying that nickname to them.

Their cyber-bullying appears to be far less benevolent than the
pre-adolescent antics of the Disney characters.

I'm not likely to remain here a lot longer, as the group has degenerated
into paranoia, accusations, and trolling.

I find it very troubling that Spin and Marty went into withdrawal
symptoms soon after I left.

Those are two very disturbed individuals.

How fitting that have someone equally touched to torment them.

And that's all I'll say on that matter.

Spin and Marty were stalking and bullying people here long before I
found this group.

You're going to have to admit that or this conversation is over right now.
