Finally, it's here. Just 7 hours and 8 minutes.
What will you cook? |

Shrimp, tofu, edamame - on bed of greens with a teriyaki sauce. I may toss in some aging mushrooms if I can exhume 'em from the fridge.

But I see a few scraps in there. I will have to cut the carrots and maybe the potatoes smaller. I cooked up some red beans and celery and I have those leftover peas. I will add these to the pot and perhaps some green beans or peas if it looks like I need to add more to it. Perhaps a few shallots. That remaining jar of tomatoes from Sur La Table, a little more seasoning and perhaps some beef broth or V8 if it needs a little more broth. Not sure what daughter will have. Probably another omelet. |

Actually the fat content of my wife's was less so It may only have been AA grade, i forget now I made a homemade BBQ sauce: Balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika. Reduced it on the stove for about 20 minutes. Slathered it on the steaks from the start on a hot grill against my better judgement. Liked the results. But then again, any steak that still goes "MOO" when it's on my plate is good. Sides were fried in butter portabello mushrooms, brussel sprouts with about 5 ml of saved cherrywood smoked bacon grease drippings and roasted potatoes drissled in olive oil salt pepper and herb de Provence. Alot of fat in tonight's dinner. |

Very cloudy and lots of rain... but we really need the rain as it's been a relatively dry winter here. I think tonight is the last night for the meteor shower? It'd be brilliant if it cleared up here and we also got both the shower and an Aurora here as well. >>>What will you cook? >> >> I have a piece of pork shoulder... not firm plan what to do with it as >> yet, other than it'll be slow cooked on the wood heater. > >Do you always cook on wood? Afraid it is just the cooker for me. Not always, I have a gas oven and stove as well. I often bring things like big stews up to simmering on the gas stove and transfer to the wood stove or heater. Of course, in summer the gas stove gets a lot more use on warm days. I know a few people with wood stoves only and their houses can get way too hot during summer. |

Don't see that TV show, don't care. I'm not sure why Paul assumes everyone is watching the show and knows what the heck he's posting about. There was a meteor shower predicted somewhere in that time-frame. It wasn't visible where I live. I would be more interested in watching a meteor shower than a TV show. And the webtv reference.... seriously? *You're* making fun of *me* with webtv? Do you not realize that you have just validated everyone who has laughed at you for it? One note... you can't lay off the crossdressing stuff in your lame attempt at humor. You got caught on it already, and we all know about it, and "I know you are but what am I" doesn't fix it. Now **** off and die, you phony little pussy, and next time you decide to start flinging shit at people outside your own back yard, try to prepare your freeble little mind for the fact that you need to be willing to take what you dish out, because someone may do the same thing back at you. If you're going to keep being a pussy who wants to give shit but screams like a sissy baby when you get it back, you'll just spend your sad little life going through episodes like this where your true nature is revealed to all. I'm done with you now, shithead. That is, unless you want more. And unless you decide to resume making personal attacks on people who are trying to discuss reasonable things. A little good natured banter between rivals is fine, but you cannot seem to understand why it's offensive to invade other forums and turn on a tirade of hateful personal attacks on individuals. So if you go that route again, I'll be back on your ass, with Goatboy, Ronald, and a bunch more tasty morsels. And go ahead and post all the stupid shit you want in the Chiefs forums... you're not getting any action because they are too smart to take your juvenile bait.... and besides, yuou're just not funny. Now please refrain from being an asshole and I will do the same.... or not, your choice. Besides, I can be a much bigger asshole than you when provoked, so do the smart thing while you have this one opportunity at a truce. MBKC |
