Default Lots of Beans!

My mom went out of town and she asked me to pick beans out of her garden as it had been a couple of days since she last did. I probably picked 10 pounds of them last night! They are a little big for my tastes, but I thought I'd try canning them. I have only made dilly beans, and used smaller beans for that. After doing a bit of reading, I see that a pressure canner is needed for plain beans. Should I try to borrow one, or does anyone have any better ideas? I guess I could just blanch and freeze them...TIA

There are many ways to pickle green beans.

I'd pick that option because I'm not much of a canner.

I totally agree, but as they are rather big, I'd have to do them in quart jars! I guess that would be okay...They mostly would get used as Bloody Mary stirrers anyway!
