Flooring installed early so it goes under the cabinets entirely. Cabinets took about a week, with the molding taking quite a bit of that time. Then the granite guys came in and measured. So then we wait for that to be turned around. Electricians back to wire all under cabinet lighting and ceiling lights. Then we wait on the tile installer for the back splash. SO it did take a few weeks... yet I can't really recall many days when nothing was done, so it wasn't like things were delayed. Just work done in logical order amongst all the many tradesfolk. |

And the floor guy was here until nearly 7:00 p.m. so he wouldn't have to come back the next day to finish it. I think the most valuable person in the company is the scheduler. -- Barb, http://www.barbschaller.com, as of April 8, 2013. |

Spot on, Goomba. The lag time on the countertop was about 2 weeks -- and they couldn't measure it until the cabinets were in. There were a couple instances where everything hinged on everything else. -- Barb, http://www.barbschaller.com, as of April 8, 2013. |

I'm still getting used to it and suspect there will be some rearranging of the drawer contents and cabinet contents. The pantry is a gem! I have a lot of stuff. It holds a lot of stuff. -- Barb, http://www.barbschaller.com, as of April 8, 2013. |

Before brooklyn turns this into a topic on kitties or titties, I'll beat him to it... Circa 1943: Two scriptwriters are looking at a big billboard of Howard Hughes "The Outlaw" featuring Jane Russell and her only two accomplishments. "I didn't know Hughes was a fan of Dickens." "Dickens?" asks the straight man. "Yeah: A Sale of Two Titties." > Of 20 entries, I placed in 8 lots‹my worst showing since 2009, but not my > worst ever. <Whew!> The particulars: 3 BLUE (Stewed tomatoes, tomato > juice, nectarine jam); 2 RED ribbons (watermelon pickles, raspberry > jelly), 1 WHITE ribbon (peach jam), and 2 PINK ribbons > (nectarine-apricot butter, blackberry jam).
