Default Marsala Beans

Marsala Beans - a recipe from Mike Muth
This makes a nice low-carb side dish for most roast meats.
Serves 4.
75 Calories, 3 grams net carbs, 2 grams fat per serving.

12 oz green beans
1/2 red bell pepper
4 oz ham
2 oz Marsala wine
1/2 small onion
1/4 tsp coarse black pepper
1/8 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp seasoned salt

Coarsely chop the ham, bell pepper, and onion.
If you are using fresh green beans, clean and string them.
Slice the beans into 1 to 2 inch pieces.
Cook the beans in just enough lightly salted water to cover them
until the beans are tender.
If you are using canned or home-canned beans, do not drain.
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan.
Stir well.
Bring slowly to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

Yum I make some thing similar but much simpler. I use chopped fried
bacon and balsamic vinegar over the beans
