I've honestly never noticed a significant difference. I suspect it's
the brewing method that makes the difference, not ground right now or
ground a few days ago.

We can tell the difference. With pre-ground or even a few days you
don't get the crema that fresh ground beans give and the aromatics are
less intense. I grind for espresso minutes before making it.

That's what I heard, and looking forward to trying my first grind, just
need to find a fresh dark roast bean somewhere in town!
