Default pizza night

Tonight's pizza night here. I'm going to try making pizza sauce with
diced tomatoes and garlic. Saute some red pepper, got some sliced
pepperoni. Mozzarella. What's for dinner in your house?

Jambalaya, if I ever get off my lazy ass and start cooking.
Got pasta sauce on the stove, and french bread slowly rising for
dinner tomorrow.

Grilled T-bone steaks, microwaved potatoes, steamed brocolli, and tossed
salad made with romaine lettuce and red onions.

After over 3 weeks of continuous damp gray chilly weather, it has been
unseasonably nice for the past 2 days, and today is the especially warm
and sunny.

Green Pizza (again).
Similar to this one, but the toppings will probably change.

Mmmmm Jambalaya... reminds me of the Sausage & Chicken Jambalaya my mom used
to make when I was a kid... will have to try to figure out the recipe for
that one, as it has been so long since she made it she forgot how, lol.

We've been curing a fresh ham for a week in the fridge and we're smoking it
on the ever-so-faithful WSM tonight. Hope it turns out well!

We went for burgers at Hamburger Mary's tonight. Tomorrow's dinner will be
baked western-style pork ribs and sauerkraut with mashed garlic potatoes, and
fresh green beans. If I have time I'll make fried apricot pies for dessert.

I thought I'd try stuffed pork loin, since it's something I've never made
before. I had two pork loins in the freezer, each about 2 1/2 to 3 lb (Kroger
had them buy one get one free a couple weeks back) and I thawed them out
yesterday and this morning. I butterflied the pork loins, and made a mix of
cream cheese, parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, and finely minced onion and
garlic, salt and pepper, and spread the mixture on the butterflied sides.
Next, I made a mixture of sauteed mushrooms, carrots and red pepper and topped
each of the mixture-spread surfaces. I tied it together with twine and salted
and peppered the exterior as best I could and put it in the oven about an hour
ago; I have to check it in a few minutes but it already smells good.

I'll make a gravy out of whatever drippings I get, and serve it with mashed
potatoes and I'll throw in the remaining parsley and cream cheese into the
mashed potatoes.

Sounds like a terrific Sunday supper to me

that's serious pizza cooking, Bob. I have to admit stretching the
dough is not my favorite part of pizza making. I did saute the onions
and red pepper nice and long, got great flavor. I use mozzarella, a
little cheddar and a sprinkling of parmesan for cheese. I got the deli
guy to slice up some fresh pepperoni. This time I made the pizza sauce
with a can of diced tomatoes and garlic, cooking it down for about 15
minutes. The recipe said to puree it, but I love tomato chunks, so I
left it as is. I added a little oregano too.

Bob, that's serious pizza cooking there.

I sauted the onions and red pepper for a good, long time. Used
mozzarella, cheddar and a sprinkle of parmesan for cheese, got the deli
guy to slice some pepperoni for me.

I made the sauce with a can of diced tomatoes and clove of garlic,
cooked it down for about 15 minutes. Added some oregano.
I bought a bottle of Bavarian dark lager to go with it.
