Probably the strongest cocktail you can make as it has no mixers. I
present: The Negroni. We've seen it here before but it is a drink like no other and bears repeating. Equal parts Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Gin stirred over ice. Add a slice of orange. To do it right, take an orange peel in one hand and a lighted match in the other. Squeeze the rind while holding the match between it and the glass. You'll get a burst of aromatics that add a little drama. Drink wisely, you have to work tomorrow. |

Sometimes I do a lemon peel instead of orange. Tracy |

The Punt e Mes is a type of vermouth and the Aperol is a bitter, so....anyway my son doesn't have a name for it. Says there are so many variations. |

(And bitters in the Manhattan, but I wouldn't call that a mixer.) -- Barb, http://www.barbschaller.com, as of April 8, 2013. |
