Default Bacon & Tomato Soup

I put one can of Swanson, lower sodium chicken broth and filled the blender with cherry and grape tomatoes, all in all, about a quart. I pureed, then strained well, putting the liquid back into the blender. I sauteed a few cloves of pressed garlic in some OO, and added that, and pureed again. I reduced the soup to about half its volume, adding two small sprigs of fresh thyme and a tiny pinch of powdered bay leaf (you could just use 1 whole leaf). Finally, I added 5 strips of bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled, then simmered for another 20 minutes or so. I added S&P in the bowl.

Gee, Steve. I thought you knew stuff. Compare the labels. The low sodium
has more flavor.

Notice the 2 grams protein, versus the 1 gram. The saltier version is more watered down.

And of course all that bacon needed salt too... I might have used it
as a cold soup, with lots of vodka. LOL
