Default Quick Italian polenta dish

Cooked up some hot Italian sausage minus the casing.
Cut a store bought tube of polenta into 1/2 inch slices
fried for 8 minutes per side in EVOO
placed in baking dish
added cooked sausage
poured a jar of marinara sauce over it
layered sliced moz on top
some parmesan next
drizzle of EVOO
baked for 30 minutes at 375

Awesome

Served with ricotta.

Are you sure the polenta wan't still somewhat frozen in the middle? I mean, it sounds absurd, being in an oven and all, but I've heard people claim that things cooked in an oven can remain frozen. And, so they say, not even in the middle?!? I Know! Right!?! But, get this, only ONE PART was frozen. Despite being in a ****ing oven! And...this part is gonna kill you...NONE OF THE INGREDIENTS WERE EVER FROZEN! Until, apparently, they got frozen by the oven.

Sounds good...but polenta fried is corn meal mush, better served with butter and maple syrup. LOL.

I don't think it's the same. I have had polenta in a tube and grits in a
tube and they don't look the same. Fried polenta is good with tomato sauce.

Polenta starts off soft, spread the leftovers into a pan to set up and
that's what you fry for breakfast.
