He could be sued and be subjected to huge financial penalties. I would imagine that someone of her generation and travelling in her circles most likely tried recreational drugs. The US is getting damned right silly about barring people who have been honest enough to admit to having used drugs. The supposed land of the free has little room in its jails for violent criminals because there are so many of those dangerous pot smokers behind bars. |

No need to rely on tabloids; the evidence in the criminal court case against the Saatchi's employees, will be fully reported elsewhere. The accused introduced the drug claim as part of their defence so the prosecution will be asking many questions to test it. Janet UK |

He has some good ideas. A couple weeks ago he was fighting a plan by city council to build low cost housing on the waterfront. I agree with him on that one. Waterfront property is high demand, expensive land and I think that housing money would be better spent on the buildings than on the premium land. Ford's predecessors were a little odd. Barbara Hall would not allow a now famous local band to play at city functions because she objected to their name... the Bare Naked Ladies. David Miller wanted to clamp down on gun violence and instead of shutting down the after hours clubs where most of the shootings were taking place, they shut down legitimate shooting ranges that had been leasing space from the city. Those ranges were so trouble free that most people did not even know they were there. Under Ford's direction, the shootings were drastically reduced. Apparently he drinks a lot, smokes pot once in a while and admitted to having smoked crack. He has done his job effectively IMO. |

Some of those revenues could be used to provide more low cost housing on more affordable land. Call me elitist, but I really don't think that subsidized housing should be located on prime property. People with their own money are willing to pay more for it, and poor people are not in a position to demand that sort of luxury. > >> Apparently he drinks a lot, smokes pot once in a while and admitted to >> having smoked crack. The champagne socialists on city council have no problem voting to spend the tax money that other people pay to fund programs for the poor, but they don't want to actually be exposed to the poor. Ford would rather invest his personal time with them than to throw money at them. |

Not should people only pay more for prime land... they should be able to pay the increased *taxes* on that land. Affordable housing is subsidized by tax payers, so it will be a lose-lose situation to put affordable, aka low cost, housing on prime land. -- Food is an important part of a balanced diet. |

I sure as hell wouldn't. He's supposed to be the face of Toronto, as much a PR job as a councillor. His disgusting behaviour eliminates him as a mayor. Calgary's Mayor Nenshi is an excellent example of what a mayor should be like. Fancy, a Moslem wins the job in such a conservative City and Province. Graham |
