Default Our Lamb rack dinner

Below is a link to the recipe I used for our lamb racks. I looked it up
a little too late to let them sit overnight with the rub but there were
still excellent. Without going to the link I can tell you the rub was a
mixture of a a couple big cloves of garlic minced, rosemary, thyme,
salt, pepper and olive oil. Wrap them in plastic wrap and let them sit.
Mine only got about an hour and a half, but that worked.

Stick them in a 400F oven for a while and then lower the heat. My wife
said she liked them rare, but when I took them out and cut them up she
thought it was a little too rare. It was fine for me, but I stuck hers
back into the oven for 5 minutes. We demolished two small racks. The
recipe is a keeper for the next time I see a good deal on racks.

<sniffle> Now you're making me wish my mother was still alive and
living in San Diego raising sheep because I always got the "good
stuff" like frenched racks of lamb and boneless legs (because I liked
to grill it on the bbq). All that ended when she moved to Oregon.

IMO, whole roasted potatoes and slender green beans sautéed with
almonds in butter would be tasty with that.

Sounds good to me! I rarely look for racks of lamb.

For some reason when I think of racks of lamb, I picture it as a crown
roast topped with little paper panties. I must have seen a picture in a
cookbook years ago. That's what sticks in my mind.

I see from looking online my local Publix does sell racks of lamb.
Price? The web site says "market price". You can bet that means you're
not getting a "deal".

Yes, and exactly my impression! Apparently lamb racks are not on sale
at Publix this week.

Also, *which* market price? I think I mentioned before this isn't
exactly lamb & sheep country. I doubt they're getting it from a local
purveyor.

I'd expect to pay $12 a pound. Not a deal, that's for sure - but it's
a real treat, if you like lamb.

How did I miss all this? I actually *wear* Victoria's Secret panties.
They're the only ones that fit me right. Of course they do make different
ones and I do only wear the one kind. And never the satin ones any more.
If you want to lose your pants in a hurry, just wear satin panties!
