What a boon for new brides et al. Open a few of these, dish em out to the inlaws -- you're in business.

Great find. Just give each of your dinner guests one when they arrive.

Precisely my thinking! I immediately went looking to see where I could
find this product for distribution as a holiday gag gift. Couldn't
find it, but saw this:

Hot Can Christmas Dinner: http://tinyurl.com/mk6ovzr

In any case I can't seem to find either of them available for purchase
in the USA.

Possibly the scariest part:

"Meanwhile, research for Asda supermarkets shows the average Briton
can't cook a perfect Christmas dinner until they are 36 years old"

Our Ace Hardware had some stuff like this. Soup and perhaps chili. I
didn't pay a lot of attention to them to see the different kinds of foods.
I was just curious as to how they worked. But given that they were around
$5 each, I passed. I'm fine with eating cold soup if I have to.

I love it! hahaha
As a few have said, these would be great for a joke. Invite some
people over for Christmas dinner and have a can of this sitting on a
plate for each at the dining room table. But of course, have the real
meal waiting in the wings.

As nasty as it sounds, I'll try to buy one and really eat it, or at
least give it a try. It's such a strange idea, I'd go for it. I wonder
how it compares to a MRE? More likely, it would be more like an old
WW2 C-Ration meal.

Also, looking at the picture of what's inside.....what's with the top
layer - scrambled egg and bacon??? Is this a traditional side for a
UK Christmas dinner?

From what I've read over the years, the Brits are well known for their
sense of humor, especially practical jokes. Christmas dinner in a can
is so funny to me. I'll *have* to buy one. Actually I'll buy two. One
to eat and one to save.

Thanks for that, sf!

It must be because I have never seen bacon and scrambled egg with a
Christmas dinner So it is all I can think it is.
