Default Ping sf Frozen Creamed Corn

While at Publix today I was looking at frozen vegetables. Guess what
jumped right out at me? Frozen Creamed Corn!

Honestly, I never noticed it before. Then again I don't look for it.
The packaging made it look like a chub of sausage. The wrapper has a
picture of an ear of corn. McKenzie's is the name. But the brand is
Birds Eye. You might be able to find Birds Eye frozen creamed corn for
that chowder. Not necessarily like this:

It looked a little odd, but there it was. Chubs of frozen creamed corn.

Well, now I know it's there. I don't remember the price. Birds Eye...
should be available in California, right? I can't find a store locator
on that stupid web site.

They have all kinds of "chubs" of frozen corn.

And if you get it hot, and you squeeze that chub just right...

I looked for it in my grocery store the other day with no luck.

I've never been a fan of creamed corn but then I've only had the
canned version and you know how they ruin veggies for canned. Frozen
should be much better.

That said, made from scratch is always better in almost every case. I
googled recipes and saw that the annoying Neely's have a recipe that
sounds appealing to me. If I ever want to try it again, I'll try their
recipe:

Thanks, I know we have Bird's Eye and .... shoot, I forgot to check
the frozen aisle for it when I was at the store yesterday. Better
write it on my shopping list so I don't forget to look for it the next
time I'm shopping for groceries.

Did you see they freeze "fried corn" too? That's a new one on me, but
it must be popular somewhere.

Yes, I saw that! I didn't see any at Publix, but the frozen creamed
corn jumped out at me because of the packaging. At first glance it
looked like someone screwed up and put sausage in the frozen vegetable
case.
