I don't know if that's a "treat" but, considering the way some folks can't keep the stuff in the house for fear of eating it in too-large amounts, I think it might qualify. ![]() In our house, we like roasted, unsalted nuts as a topping on salads. Usually it's pine nuts, sometimes walnuts, sometimes almonds; I'd try peanuts, perhaps making the pieces a bit smaller in a food processor first, though. Sate would be another fine use. It's a Far Eastern peanut-based sauce, usually spicy and sweet in my experience, often served as a dipping sauce for grilled meats but I'm sure there are a thousand other ways to use it as well. I usually think of it as Thai but I've had it in Chinese and Vietnamese cooking also. -S- |

I used to like the toys, when they were actually toys... but then the toy police decided they were a hazard so then all you got was a piece of paper printed with some inane nonsense. They changed the recipe maybe 25 years ago, last I tried Cracker Jacks they were nothing like the original, now they are awful... if I want a snack I'd rather beer nuts with a Slim Jim. |

You're preaching to a man who doesn't have a clue what a simple hollandaise sauce should look like. Good luck. I'd rather have a box of jax than eggs benny made by sqirtz. |
