1 cup of cappucino or a dark roast coffee (hot)
1 tbsp egg nog
1 tbsp chocolate-hazelnut spread (I use Nutella [the real Italian Nutella in
the glass jar])

Mix and drink. Yummy.

I drank Kenyan coffee for years, the only one I liked, now it is fruit tea
or chocolate. Tastes change over time eh?

I switch coffees once every couple of months. I'm not even tasting a coffee
if I drink it for over two months. I'm just swallowing it.

It's weird. I've been drinking gourmet coffee for a while. And I'm just so
used to it that I don't even taste it anymore. I'd actually prefer a cheap
cup of coffee right now just to have a different flavor.

I know what you mean. I drink African & Indonesian... when I go for a
brand name, it's Blue Bottle or Peet's. To change things up, I get
the French roast from Safeway's bulk coffee section... which isn't
"bad" coffee, it's just not as good as the others.

Mostly my coffee comes from Trader Joe's and I grind my own beans. Very
occasionally I treat myself to real Kona coffee or get it as a Xmas
present. Kona is good but not really worth twice the price of South
American coffee. I tried Jamaican Blue Mountain once but I did not enjoy
it all that much; perhaps $35 a pound caused the feeling.

Oh, yes... poor ole TJ. I forgot about him. I've tried a few of
their coffee's but prefer the least expensive one in the blue can....
and I grind it there at the store. I've never understood what the BFD
is with grinding your own with every pot when it all tastes the same
AFAIC.

I understand just how you feel. I'll switch back and forth from brewed
coffee to instant just to change the taste. No big deal though, I
only drink 1.5 cups per day now.

We can't stay with a single coffee for a long time either -- it just
gets boring.

I keep two different coffees in containers at a time -- one that is
being finished up, and one freshly ground. Depending on how I feel each
morning, I choose one or the other, or blend the two equally.

The two available today are an Ethiopian Yrgacheffe and a Sumatra
Mandheling; the Yrgacheffe is almost gone. Next up will be a bag of
Kenyan beans from Baltimore Coffee, and then a 5-lb. bag of Tanzanian
from La Colombe. (We have very little taste for any Central or South
American coffees.)

For espresso, the Jura superauto gets whatever beans are available when
its reservoir needs filling -- we're not super picky about using only
very dark roasts.

Typically, it's coffee that's arabica rather than robusta and is a
single sourced, single species bean that's been cultivated with care
and ground and roasted the same way. This, instead of the low grade
mixed bean junk in the 2lb tin on the sprmkt shelf. Much the same as
Kobe beef vs that generic hamburger in the 1lb plastic tubes.

I'll bet you that your bathroom floor around the toilet is filthier
than my whole house. My ferret has many "bathrooms" and she always
uses one or the other. I clean them every day. If John's house
reeked, it's because he didn't do it right. Ferrets are high
maintenence friends, much more than cats or dogs.

I had some Starbucks coffee yesterday. I been trying to get some of
their blonde roast but they never seem to have it. If this is a way for
them to entice people that wouldn't normally go to Starbucks and do a
bait n' switch on them, it's a excellent plan. I instead got the
gingerbread latte. Boy, I enjoyed that! I'm hooked but unfortunately,
it's a seasonal item. That's the breaks.

I was in Starbucks a couple weeks ago and had another of their seasonal
specialties, ginger bread loaf with a very rich icing. It was pretty good.

DD told me sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving that she has to
get at least one of their pumpkin lattes to start the season off
right. I can't stand flavored coffee, so I passed on it. If
Starbucks depended on people like me for their business, they would
have never been able to expand.

I did see that last night. Looks like I'm going to have to try it. My
guess is that it won't be around in a very short while. I'll try to go

I never get their flavored coffee either but last night, Starbucks
didn't have anything that appealed to me so I just ordered this item. I
figured I'd never get another chance.

Ferrets smell. I assume that something has to be wrong with you sense of
smell if you can tolerate instant coffee.

I don't drink coffee any more as I can't tolerate caffeine. It's a
shame as I rather liked the taste but I really miss tea the most.

Sorry just got to these posts.

FYI I have been a Kona Coffee Farmer, with my DH for over 25 years and
the reason Kona Coffee costs more, is #1) it is made in the US and we
pay all of our labor fairly, 2) we stick by the strict codes that the
US Dept. of Ag. has throughout the US to insure your safe health, 3)
Kona is hand picked, and is a very limited amount and.... 4) we pay US
taxes too. So if you take away all that good US stuff, you might have
cheaper coffee. But probably not healthier, nor probably supporting
the small Hawaii/US farmer and the US agriculture.

The reason *$ adds all that pretend weird and chemical flavoring is to
make their actual bottom line coffee bearable.

Don't make the mistake of thinking a Kona Blend Coffee is real 100%
Kona Coffee either. A Kona Blend is only 10% real Kona and 90%
whoknowswhat- never stated on the package and legal by US labeling
rules. Can you believe that?
