I used to heat up my leftovers-turned-lunch in plastic containers, too,
but there are chemicals that leach out of the plastic into the food so I
no longer do that. Ceramic or glass with covers for me.

Same here. I used to take plastic containers to work and heat my food
there. I usually ate at my desk, so it was handy to do it that way. Now I
use glass or ceramics. Of course, I am also retired now, so it's easy to
use any of my containers at home.
