Yeah; we're not sophisticated enough to eat fried potatoes covered in cheese
curds and brown gravy. Perhaps some day we'll evolve. 8-)

Outback "Steakhouse" sucks balls. <--not an opinion, a fact.

Outback has been around for decades now, hasn't it? I keep saying I
want to try it, but still haven't been. Om used to say she loved
their lamb chops. I think I'd try them first if and when I ever eat
there.

Anyone that aspires to eat at this shit place is a Julie Bove. LOL

Outback is ok but not all that. For a steak (or lamb) dinner you would
be better off buying a good cut and cooking it at home. Don't know
when they started but they opened a restaurant here in the early 80's.

Their "bloomin' onions" are good. You could do that for a lunch. It's
all you need for a meal for 2. Maybe add a salad to that. They also
offered 3-cheese fries back then. I never tried them but they sounded
interesting.

Actually, it's about what the Club regards as haute cuisine. They
usually miss the mark which is what makes it so entertaining for some of
us. That and the goofy spelling mistakes. ;)

That's nothing to do with sophistication; it's what can be sold as high
cuisine (in this case in the USA). We have our own sins.

Yes, the thinking of the Club reveals much; especially about being
pretentious in the USA ;-)
In China, noone would think about shark fins on Kaiserrolls, e.g.
Every country has its own charlatanes, I guess.
The goofy spellings are nice, too ;-)

Um, their captain's chairs have armrests and sf's ass would never
squeeze between. But no problemo, when sf eats out that greasy lard
assed beaner brings her own park bench. LOL-LOL
This can barely accomodate sf's butt:

Not sure how PVC thinks I'm talking to her through a kill file when I
replied directly to Gary. She seems to be addicted to something,
probably narcotics.

I wasn't asking you, Sheldon, but thanks for your input. I haven't been

sf, and I really don't care.

I want to know why pvc thinks Outback is a "shit place."

He's mad that I think he's suffering from dementia and won't talk to
him anymore because he's a foul mouthed, dirty minded, old man.

PVC is delusional too, probably induced by a narcotic addiction.

Why don't you ask her directly?
Don't need much IQ to realize that "Outback" and "Shit Place" are

You didn't ask me either, but is this 'Outback' is a chain/franchise?
Then it is by definition, a 'shit place'.

I have asked her directly, you've just chosen to jump in. Why do YOU
think Outback and Shit Place are synonymous?

I've never had a bad meal or experience at an Outback. I've been to
three different ones, all in different parts of the US.

I have to laugh. The last time I was in an Outback, I was in Singapore.

Had they had one in Sasebo, we'd have gone now and again.

It is a chain/franchise type operation. They even have locations in

I've only eaten there when we were travelling (in the US) and could find
any other place to eat. (We preferred to look for local or mom & pop
type eateries.) Outback wasn't awful but it wasn't anything to rave

Mom & Pop type places are always preferable to any franchised eatery,
but how easy is it to find a *good* mom & pop place while traveling?
Perhaps you can make a decision based on how crowded the parking lot is,
but that hasn't always been a good barometer from my experience.
Sometimes I just prefer to eat at a place that offers a familiar menu
and a welcoming atmosphere. Just my $.02.

It is a crap shoot with mom and pop diners and other independent places.
They can be really good or really bad. Franchises tend not to be
horrible but,IMO, not very good either.
