For a steak (or lamb) dinner you would be better off buying a good cut and cooking it at home. Don't know when they started but they opened a restaurant here in the early 80's. Their "bloomin' onions" are good. You could do that for a lunch. It's all you need for a meal for 2. Maybe add a salad to that. They also offered 3-cheese fries back then. I never tried them but they sounded interesting. G. |

You didn't ask me either, but is this 'Outback' is a chain/franchise? Then it is by definition, a 'shit place'. |

The last time I was in an Outback, I was in Singapore. Had they had one in Sasebo, we'd have gone now and again. -- |

Mom & Pop type places are always preferable to any franchised eatery, but how easy is it to find a *good* mom & pop place while traveling? Perhaps you can make a decision based on how crowded the parking lot is, but that hasn't always been a good barometer from my experience. Sometimes I just prefer to eat at a place that offers a familiar menu and a welcoming atmosphere. Just my $.02. -- DreadfulBitch I intend to live forever....so far, so good. ......Steven Wright |
