You can't beat a good classic salsa, but if you don't like Rotel dip, I
don't even want to know you.

I can't say I've ever eaten Rotel as a dip. Why - when refrigerated
is so good? I do use it for the occasional sf's version of King Ranch
Chicken and a can of Rotel always lives on the back of the
refrigerator (the closest thing I have to a pantry).

I'd prefer the Rotel in a refried bean dip.

Thanks.

Then Tara is going to have to not know me. I don't like cheese
very much; I like Velveeta even less. My husband would be
all over it, though.

I love cheese, but melting process cheese with canned tomatoes is hideous.

I know a lot of us are old, and when we were younger, using canned stuff
was just what we did. As Steve said, "The 1960's called. They want their recipe back."

I accept American GOVERNMENT cheese on freakin' McDoubles, but how can
any person take pride in slopping together that stuff with canned whatever?

She really might as well have said, "If you don't like [Banquet TV dinners], I
don't even want to know you."

Notice it's a can of Rotel to *1* pound of Velveeta, so a standard 2 lb
loaf of Velveeta takes 2 cans if you use the whole thing.

The extra hot Rotel is better.

12 oz of "Deluxe" American Cheese slices (any brand) works better than
16 oz of Velveeta.

Whatever you use, it is very high in sodium. Just be aware of that if
you are on a restricted diet or just don't like salt.
