Default Old Chicago Pizza

I just saw an ad from Old Chicago Pizza for Pizza Pot Pie. Has anyone
had or seen one? The picture with the ad wasn't clear enough for me
to determine what was in such a pot pie or how it was made.

It does. And that is what I was wondering. I wouldn't expect a pizza
place to have short crust for pie. The thing was shaped as a pot pie,
but as I said, the picture didn't allow me to see if they were using
pizza dough or what the filling was like. One of the pictures did
seem as if they may have used white sauce, chicken and something
green.

Probably no bottom crust. I saw on some tv program a Chicago
restaurant that put sauce, cheese, and pizza toppings into a
small casserole dish, then put the pizza crust on the top
and baked it.

Here's a link to a place that has them:

http://chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com/menu.htm

And a youtube on how they're made:

Like the old saying goes. "If I had some eggs, I would have some ham and
eggs, if I had some ham." :-)

Do they have a web site? If so, you might be able to get a better idea.

Then I shall remain in the dark. I'm not going to go there and buy
one It's been many, many years since I have eaten there. Apparently
they are no longer solely a 'pizza' place'. I checked their online
menu and it is fairly extensive -- sandwiches, pizza, steaks, salads,
beer list, etc.

Took me under five seconds:
http://www.oldchicago.com/new-pizza-pot-pie
The pictures could have been larger but they do give a description for
each... The meat-a-balles n' pepperoni sounds best to me, don't think
I'd like the chicken versions... but they also offer build your own,
I'd want anchovy... maybe they are good, would need to try it. Looks
like something easy to make at home.

LOL "Chicago" is (allegedly) a style of pizza. As opposed to "New
York" pizza, or well, pretty much any other pizza.

Stuff like this would get them laughed out of Chicago:

Classic Italian Melt

With three meats, melted provolone cheese, and spicy red pepper mayo on rye bread, this sensational sandwich has all the deli-fresh flavor you're looking for.**

"Spicy red pepper mayo on rye bread"?

There was one perhaps in the early 80's. Pizza was so garlicky that SIL and
I got sick from eating only two bites. I doubt if it is still there.

I think it would be kind of boring. The cats did just do some arials so
that might be a tad exciting! It was for me!
