When my daughter was young, I used to take her out for oceanfront
fishing (surfcasting) on weekend mornings often. On the way home, we
always stopped at McD for breakfast. I've always loved their very
greasy hash browns with lots of salt sprinkled on.

No, unfortunately - my daughter planted some tomatoes, but the birds got
to them before they were fully ripe - sigh. However we can buy decent
tomatoes (grown locally) at very reasonable prices. The potatoes and
'mielies' (corn) she planted are coming along nicely, so I'm looking
forward to eating those <g>

The funny thing is, talking (so to speak) with you and others on rfc, I
am remembering more things my Scottish grandmother said. I tell my cat
to "whisht" when she starts fussing while I'm dishing up her food.
Seems I cannae dae it fast enough.
