Default What food would you choose as your last meal?

There was an article showing last meals before criminals were bumped off:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...residents.html

DH opted for sausage, egg, chips and baked beans with good bread and butter
and a glass of malt.

I don't know that I have a favourite food. I like a lot of things but
none excusively.

What would you choose?

I think I'd be distracted no matter the food.

I doubt that I could digest a meal that I knew was to be my last.
However, all dietary restrictions would be irrelevant so I'd like a
steak with fries and asparagus with hollandaise, I'd drink a good red
wine from Australia and finish with apple pie with well-aged cheddar and
Kauai coffee.

Aye you would think so. Maybe that was the problem with the guy who chose a
single olive.

It depends on how many courses but I would want scallops in one and foie
gras in another.
Mind you, a pint of bitter with some bread, good cheddar and pickled onions
would be hard to beat!

I would start off with an appetizer that had some smoked salmon. Then a
rack of lamb, new potatoes, asparagus. Dessert would be one of those
sticky date cakes with a caramel sauce. I have never had it, but I know
it would be decadently delicious.

Depends on the skill level of the prison cooks. I'd like to say 'Hungarian Goulash' served over homemade nockerln(or spaetzle). With a quart of whole milk. 2 pieces of blueberry pie with ice cream. A quart of decent coffee with cream.

A large, very large Maine Lobster with lots of melted butter, a big green
salad with ranch dressing...and since it's my last meal, I'd add a baked
potato and lots of crusty french bread. :-)

This would be mine as well.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but it may be a good time to mention that I knew Ted Bundy. Yep, I did. He dated a girl in my office.

But interesting thread drift! Did you ever read the book by Ann Rule,
'The Stranger Beside Me?' She writes true crime stuff. She volunteered
at a suicide hotline with Ted Bundy. (How's that for ironic? No, don't
kill yourself... I'll do it for you. Heh.) Apparently he was quite
capable of appearing to be just a regular guy.

As some others stated, I'd like to have lobster. Probably steak
(no-more than mid-rare) and a nice big broiled lobster tail. Baked
potato with butter, steamed asparagus, ice cold milk to drink. But
would they know how to prepare the lobster? Could I send it back if it
was overcooked/rubbery?

LOL! And speaking of the subject, I have so many favorite meals, I'd
want about a month to go through them all. Seriously though, if I was
on death-row and was offered a last meal, I would probably ask for a 5
litre box of white wine and some diet coke to mix it with.

I'd drink it all then sluringly tell the guards, "OK...I'm ready.
Let's get it over with. Let's dance."
