There was an article showing last meals before criminals were bumped off:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...residents.html DH opted for sausage, egg, chips and baked beans with good bread and butter and a glass of malt. I don't know that I have a favourite food. I like a lot of things but none excusively. What would you choose? -- http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/shop/ |

I'd like to say 'Hungarian Goulash' served over homemade nockerln(or spaetzle). With a quart of whole milk. 2 pieces of blueberry pie with ice cream. A quart of decent coffee with cream. |

Then again, Ann Rule wasn't his type. She was twice his age and more of the motherly type, appearance wise. He targeted college-age/young women. I'm sure he could, and did, get along with a lot of people who didn't arouse the killing urge. It's difficult to understand a mind that works that way. It's been years since I read that book. At first she couldn't believe he was capable of it. Just goes to show how anyone, even someone who lives with and writes about such things, can be fooled. It's freaky JulieP's co-worker dated the guy. I guess that was to appear "normal". I'd also guess she also wasn't Bundy's specific type. Jill |

Ricky Ray Rector. I had to look him up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricky_Ray_Rector Apparently he tried to kill himself after shooting a police officer and being chased down. "Once he had walked past his mother’s backyard, Rector put his gun to his own temple and fired. Rector was quickly discovered by other police officers and taken to the local hospital. The shot had destroyed Rector’s frontal lobe." It raised legal questions which I don't want to get into. But the article says: "An oft-cited example of his mental insufficiency is his decision to save the dessert from his last meal for after his execution." Fact is, he injured a few and killed two people that same night, when presumeably *before* he tried to put a bullet in his brain. He got ticked off because they would let a friend of his into a bar/club. Dude didn't have the cover charge. Yep, that's a great reason to pull a gun and start shooting. <sarcasm> Jill |

Baked potato with butter, steamed asparagus, ice cold milk to drink. But would they know how to prepare the lobster? Could I send it back if it was overcooked/rubbery? ![]() Jill |

And speaking of the subject, I have so many favorite meals, I'd want about a month to go through them all. Seriously though, if I was on death-row and was offered a last meal, I would probably ask for a 5 litre box of white wine and some diet coke to mix it with. I'd drink it all then sluringly tell the guards, "OK...I'm ready. Let's get it over with. Let's dance." G. |
