Default Three ingredients

I'm not counting the water or neutral oil, not the S&P put on after plating,
but tonight's dinner consisted of cubed beef chuck and carrots, braised
together, and red potatoes boiled separately.

I cut up the beef and sauteed it hot in oil, then put it into the crockery
insert of the slow cooker with hot tap water, and cooked it on low for
several hours, then added carrots and put the crock into a 350F oven for
almost 2 hours, then back into the slow cooker on high for another half hour
or so while the potatoes finished in another pot.

Boring? Not at all. My son loved it, as did my wife and I.
