An opened bag of sugar ranks right up there with spilled oil for a fine mess.

BTDT only it was actually Italian dressing. And no, I think not.

Glass bottle of oil that falls and breaks - all the oil, plus broken glass.

I think any large bottle of regular soda is nasty, the sugared soda splashes
everywhere and it's sticky.

I am remembering when the pickle aisle collapsed at K Mart. Glass, pickles
and brine, everywhere! But at least it wasn't oil.

Yes. My worst food accident was taking a
pot of fish stock down the basement stairs
to the fridge. Not a good time to trip.

I recently had a full aladdin lamp get knocked off the kitchen table.
Flammable oil and shards of glass. Was slick for a week. I was so ****ed off I wanted to flick a match and walk out.

Oil is miserable to clean up. I once dropped a huge plastic ketchup bottle on the kitchen floor. It literally exploded and splattered ketchup on every single surface in my kitchen, including the upper cabinets and ceiling. The plastic used in those bottles is as brittle as glass. Horrible mess to clean up and I swear I found hidden globs of ketchup for weeks.

I once opened a very old can of tomato paste. As soon as I pierced the
top it erupted and sprayed the contents everywhere. It was on the
ceiling, walls, counters, fridge, stove, dishwasher, drawers and the
cabinets.

yes. My worst ever was this. I had just made a big batch of my blue cheese dressing.
I put it in a plastic "jar" type container. It was a stiffer plastic type container. The next morning when I went to get the blue cheese dressing out to fill the little container for my lunch salad, it slipped out of my hand.

The FULL brittle plastic container literally shattered and blue cheese dressing was EVERYWHERE.
The exploding container flung the dressing all over the floor, the cabinets, under the refrigerator, the walls and ME.

I had to clean for days to make sure I got every tiny place because you know what blue cheese smells like.....OMG

Yep. An opened gallon jug of WD-40 that falls on the floor. Pranksters
pulled that at a local store. It ended up making the news, because it
is so slippery and so difficult getting it all off/out of the floor.

Spilled bag of rice, peppercorns, disposing of a real Christmas Tree,
bongwater all over the floor, cleaning up explosive diarrea for a
bedridden patient... Need I go on? ;-)

I dropped one on the garage floor. Luckily the only damage was to the cap
and I used the full bottle.

Who doesn't know to use kitty litter on oil? Anyone who has a garage that has some oil on the floor knows this.

Sugar is easy - vacuum.

Flour is hard - it gets "poofed" onto every horizontal surface, and some vertical ones.

I had a similar situation while tube feeding a cat. The tube got clogged
and sometimes pushing/pulling some water with a syringe through will
clear it, but this was a stubborn clog. When I thought it was clear, I
started with the food again, and all of the food plus the clog came
shooting out of the syringe I was using and it sprayed everywhere. This
was a mix of cat food, medication, water, and whatever else the vet had
me feed him through the tube.
