Default Pizelles for sale

Someone recently asked if pizelles can be purchased in stores. I was in
my local corner bakery coffee shop and tried a sample of a commercial
product they just started to carry... pizelles.

If you live in an area with a lot of Italians, they will be there. I
recently saw them online but don't remember where.

When we lived on Cape Cod, we could get Portuguese baked goods. I used to
get something that I loved called Biscotios. I have been unable to find a
recipe for these. They are rings but crisp and only ever so slightly sweet.
Not sure if they would classify as a cookie or what. I got all kinds of
really good breads there as well.

I went to Central Market tonight for bread and buns. I have lunch meat to
use up so decided to make sandwiches. With this heat wave, those would have
been perfect tonight but of course tonight, Angela wanted steak! And no
potatoes because she is sick of potatoes. So... Garlic rice and coleslaw
on the side.

Anyway... I had to hunt high and low for sub buns. I finally found one
lone package of sourdough which wasn't really what I wanted. Also some kind
of French buns but they were not French bread and they were an odd shape and
had more carbs than what I buy. They had all sorts of hamburger and hot dog
type buns but little in the way of sub type buns. Weird. Also, their
regular bread section is far smaller than other stores in this area with the
exception of PCC and Whole Foods which are similar kinds of stores. They do
carry more artisan type breads though.

I buy them at the grocery. I don't always look for them, and not sure where
to look for them. Seems like they put them out for me to see, so I can buy
some. Next time I'll make a point to look where they hide them.
