Default Potatoes and dumplings

Starchy Yes. Good for a diabetic? No. I'm eating them up anyway.
Make potatoes paprikash(all kinds of recipes on the net).
Dump in some pre cooked home made smallish dumplings. I don't make any pasta at home, my Mum used to make them, and they are better than anything store bought.
However, I usually use purchased bow tie pasta.
Serve.
Apparently a German dish, but I haven't found anything on google that is similar.
Hungarian influence? Probably.
In our dialect: 'Katoffel un Klaes'.
In proper German: Kartoffel und klöße.
I like this simple stuff.

When we were moving here we had a potato dumpling soup in a restaurant that
was yummy! At one place anyway. Tried it again at an all you can eat place
and not so good. Apparently popular in South Dakota. I have finally found
recipes for it. I think it is spelled something like Knoebla. However they
pronounced it like Kuh-nob-lock.
