Happens here all the time. If you don't know what it is, GIYF.

Sounds exactly like what Archie Bunker and Mike Stivic were constantly
doing in the show 'All in the Family'. Mike was especially bad about it
considering he was supposed to be the enlightened male character.

The only "enlightened" character on that show was Edith Bunker. All
the rest were charactures of crazy. Archie was the old school
conservative, Mike was the new age liberal, and both were dumb as
posts.

A great show though! And very timely!

Google it you FOOL would be my interpretation.

"plainers" undoubtedly means 'ones husband as well...what else is new?

As I recall I became a "plainer" when my loving wife tried some new recipe as an experiment for my stomach to process. Dear wifey soon learned to warn me ahead of time when something was deviating from the norm. After all. that was only fair.

I looked it up. Means "Google is your friend." But they're not *my*

Oh yes, that was classic! I wasn't implying men "mansplain" only to
women.

Yep! The actors were great and the shows were very well written. Very
funny even when featuring not so funny situations.

If they paid you, they'd be your employer - not your friend. You seem
mistake other things, like good parenting, for friendship a lot.

I don't find language best kept to a bar after a few drinks particularly
funny in print.

That's why the acronym. I was merely pointing out what Googling for
GIYF told me.

That was one of the few shows that I actually made a point to watch.

Well, no. They sure as heck don't pay me enough to be my employer. I like
to look at it as gifting. Every so often I cash in my swagbucks for an
Amazon.com gift card. So...yeah, pretty close to a friend to me! Certainly
not an enemy. And ya'll here were the ones saying that my kid is my friend.
She's not. But she's also not my enemy. To her, I am old. She doesn't
want old friends.
