Well, I was just teasing you, Pete. That's why I added the "lol." I
know what you mean.

Tomatoes are a perfect example. Homegrown are so tasty but not the
commercial ones (industrial versions). Those are mostly tasteless no
matter how nice they look.

A few days ago I made a pasta meal and I wanted to use the "good"
tomatoes so I made a special trip to my local vegetable stand to get
them. They always used to sell the good ones. Not this year. I paid a
premium for them ($2.49lb vs grocery store ones for $0.99lb). Got home
and tried one as I started making the dish. I was shocked (and highly
annoyed) to find them a bit mushy and almost tasteless. They were even
worse than the one grocery store tomato that I already had here.

Needless to say, I won't be going back to that vegetable stand ever
again.

They also had red bell peppeX-Mozilla-Status: 0009I laughed when I saw
that ridiculous price.
