So upsetting. I felt like she'd be on her way once her
knee was better. I'm really sad she lost her husband.

We just saw them a few weeks ago and he looked great. I put a picture up

happened to Janet, lately, my heart goes out to her. :-(

This is just too sad. Poor Janet, she has such a wonderful attitude, always bouncing back from adversity.

I am very sorry for her.

I don't recall seeing anything post in the group, but it was posted on
FaceBook. Her husband had died unexpectedly. My heart goes out to her.
She has had a lot of suffering inflicted on her lately.

I know from the diabetes newsgroups that he is diabetic, but I didn't hear
that he was sick or that he died. If true, my deepest sympathies to Janet
and her family.

words :/

My heartfelt condolences to Janet - and more.......

I cannot express the deepest sympathy I feel for/with Janet, and I know
first-hand. Losing a beloved spouse unexpectedly for any reason
(accident, illness . . .) is tragic, no matter their ages. And that
loss of a beloved one is difficult to overcome. If there is anything I
can do to help Janet in this moment of indescribable sorrow, I will do
so in a heartbeat if it's within my ability/power . . . .

You've got no heart. You're a piece of filth that believes my aunt should have had WP rained on her. Garbage you are. My aunt doesn't hate the people that bombed her. She thinks people that justified her nightmare are swine. You blame her government for the criminal shit that your filth did to her.

Hmmm... Here, the shingles shot is by prescription. I actually made a Drs.
appointment for the shot not realizing that they can't give them there. And
apparently the person making the appointment did not either. So rather a
waste of an appointment.

In CA, no prescription (but that could be an insurance thing) I went to
Walgreen's for a flu shot like gregz and decided to get the shingles shot
too since the pharmacist said you could get both at the same time. The flu
shot was free with medicare, but the shingles shot cost 160.00

I gather there was no suffering... if one has to go it's best to go
quick/unexpectedly. I've seen too many suffer severely for several
years before dying... of course their loved ones endure the same
protracted suffering as well. At least the departed are done with
suffering, unfortunately the loved ones suffer the details every day
for years, perhaps so long as they live... and often with a lot of
guilt always wondering if they could have done something more. My mom
was terminal for six years, what an awful odessy. Two years later my
dad got in his car one morning and as he inched from the curb a
massive coronary, he never knew.

You should keep the pneumonia and shingles vaccine about a month apart,
but you can get the flu shot and shingles shot at the same time. You do
not need a prescription in Texas, you can get them at the doctor's
office or the pharmacy. My PCP has me scheduled for the pneumonia shot
and the flu shot in October, I just hope they have the flu vaccine by then.

Medicare paid part and my private ins. paid the rest except for a $20
co-pay. I got the flu shot at my doctor's office but I was suprised
when I was handed a Rx to get the shingles shot at the pharmacy... I
could have gotten the flu shot at the pharmacy too only no one told me
about having to get the shingles shot at the pharmacy. Anyway my
understanding is the shingles shot is a one time event. This was last
year, but now my doctor doesn't write Rx, all are electronic... I
think this is the last year for written Rx.... from then on your Rx
drugs will not be private. I already noticed that doctors no longer
ask you what drugs you take, they are all on line... your entire
medical history is now on line.

When I get a flu shot, they always ask if I'm allergic to eggs because
that's what it's cultured in. I don't remember if they asked me when
I got the shingles vaccine - maybe they did, but I'm not allergic to
eggs so I answered the question, got the shot and didn't think about
it anymore. There may have been some minor soreness for a couple of
days afterward, but that's normal for me with any shot.

Yes to most of what you wrote, except my doc and dh's doc do write scripts,
no electronic with them yet, and at the time I got the shingles shot,
Medicare didn't pay any, and Humana didn't either. I do imagine that there's
not too much they don't know about individuals (according to Edward Snowden)

I don't remember soreness with any shot, but I may just be forgetting. My
friend usually has a very sore arm after the flu shot, but I never have.

And yet large grocery store chains haven't given their individual
stores the ability check product availability in other nearby stores
of the same chain. Never mind that individual stores are tailored to
their particular customers and another store may have the product.
Makes me so mad! Neither Safeway or Whole Foods have the ability to
do an online check. OTOH, Trader Joe's can. Each TJ's stocks only a
fraction of what's available in the warehouse, so if I go to one store
that doesn't have what I'm looking for, customer service can check
online to tell me if it's available at all and which store has it on
the shelf if they do stock it somewhere.

Come on national grocery chains! If you're going to super tailor
what's on the shelf to your particular demographic, at least give them
the ability to tell their customers which store within your chain
stocks the product your customer wants. That's real customer service.

This is the last year they can write Rx, as of the first of next year,
by Federal law, all Rx need to be electronic. Most doctors have
already obtained the software so they transfer Rx electronically. Some
few doctors are too cheap to buy the software (it's expensive) so they
are holding off but won't be for much longer... those who refuse will
simply be out of the doctoring business

I've no idea why not... I don't know about Humana but Medicare should
have paid a portion. Perhaps it wasn't filed, ask your pharmacist.

LOL, I missed that one. Maybe the pet psychic could explain it.
