I know that, I used to do rfc chat and the address was
penguinpowered.ca. Travis made it sound like Andy was in a chat
populated by Canadians. LOL

That's right. I really worry about the condition of the archive these
days. Trying to do a search now is a bad joke, you don't know if it'll
work or not any more. I was not pleased when google announced they
were taking it over from Deja.

A company like google are inherently inappropriate for such a thing,
IMO it should be handed over to archive.org... I may be wrong, but I
would think archive.org would be keen to take it over - but then
google have done all they can to commercialise Usenet, so they may or
may not want to pass it onto someone else.
