Yes I used a white trash "word". And sorry to disappoint you, sw, but my
grill pan worked very well. Medium heat and I still got a very nice sear on the meat. Cheap eats too! I had a Cartwheel for 5% off on Sutton and Dodge steaks at Target and I paid with my Red Card so an additional 5% off. Regular price on the steaks was $7.99 for two very small Sirloins. They were labeled as petite. Better still, another customer handed me a coupon for $1.00 off any purchase of $8.00 or more of fresh meat. Alas, she wanted cold cuts which do not count as fresh meat. Only problem with the steaks is that I need to use a much easier hand on that Montreal Steak Seasoning. Daughter and husband loved the chicken seasoning so much that I whipped through the Costco sized package and of course since then, they've never had it again. I made the mistake of buying the steak seasoning there but you must use, far, far less of it than the chicken kind. The chicken kind contains little to no salt. But the steak and the hamburger (which I didn't like at all) are mostly large salt crystals. So the end result was slightly too salty. Husband and daughter had the steaks along with freshly made coleslaw and potato salad. Hers was from Costco. His was the roasted kind with bacon which only gets better and better the more it stays in the fridge. And me? I found the most gorgeous tomatoes at Central Market. Huge slicing ones. The ones I bought were more oval shaped than round. One slice fits perfectly on my little sandwich. I got some San Francisco Sourdough rolls which probably aren't meant for sandwiches but they are better for me as they are small. Also red onion, shredded lettuce and some of that herb roasted turkey breast that Costco sells. Columbo? Columbus? Something like that. Also a small amount of the potato salad. And tomorrow? Tacos! Whether they like it or not! Somehow I screwed up and bought several packages of crisp shells. Somebody must have had a sale. And then I tucked two boxes away in an odd spot...either that or Angela did it. I must not have seen them, then bought them again! So need to use those up. Beans on the side. Probably no rice. We also have some guac. from Costco to use up. |

Are you saying they have the same flavor components, but one has more salt than the other? Sounds like we should buy the one labeled for chicken and use it on both. -- I take life with a grain of salt, a slice of lemon and a shot of tequila |

Let me see if I can find the ingredients online because I am too lazy to get up and get them and type it all in. Plus I threw the burger one away. For the steak seasoning it says to shake 1 T. per pound of meat such as steak, burgers or pork. That would be overkill. I don't even think I use a teaspoon per pound. Ingredients a Coarse Salt, Spices (Including Black Pepper, And Red Pepper), Garlic,&Nbsp;Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavor, And Extractives Of Paprika. The Hamburger is: Salt, Spices (Including Black Pepper And Chili Pepper), Onion, Red Bell Peppers, Sugar, Garlic, And Natural Flavors. For the chicken it says for chicken, pork or seafood. Garlic, Salt, Onion, Spices (Including Black Pepper, Parsley, And Red Pepper), Orange Peel, Paprika, Green Bell Peppers, And Sulfiting Agents. Sorry for the weird fonts. |

I'm tempted to just toss it and use salt and pepper like I used to. |

They are delish. I love pot roast. We had that earlier in the week with pasta because I have a lot of pasta. |
