Default Grilled chicken dinner

Not at all balanced, but once I ate the chicken I didn't bother with
sides. I should cook up the spinach I planned on.

Under the foil is a grilled chicken breast that I grilled over direct
heat for about 7 minutes per side. I tented it to make sure it was
fully cooked because I didn't want to over cook it on the grill.

The drumsticks were cooked much longer on indirect heat on this infrared
grill (which I am LOVING) and the skin crisped over direct heat for
about 5 minutes per side.

This will be good for several meals since I only ate 1/2 of the chicken
breast and one drumstick. Tomorrow for lunch will be chicken salad on
lettuce with the rest of the breast.

I would suggest that she doesn't need to when only cooking for
herself, just as I do. I only care about the taste not the looks.
Only sw posts cookbook ready pics of his food here. Cheryl's 4 drums
would last me only about 15 minutes! ehehe YUM!

Sounds like you hold very little value for yourself... one can only
imagine the food you serve yourself makes POW slop look like it could
be served at the Hilton.

More than with all other senses people eat with their eyes.... when
food looks attractive it tastes better too. If I ordered chicken at a
restaurant and it arrived looking like that I'd get up and walk out. I
arrange food more attractively than that when it's left overs I
package for my freezer. I'd arrange that chicken more attractively
were I putting it in a pet bowl to serve my cats on the floor.

I've never seen anything you've cooked, you probably don't, your
larder must consist of pasta you eat cold from the can.

I agree. Who cares about presentation when you're preparing something like this for yourself. I'd probably slap them on a paper plate and dig in.

Good lord. You're the one who insists on photos (otherwise you don't
believe anyone cooks), then you nit pick them to death. Most people I
know don't cook for "presentation" purposes.

Oh please. I've seen pictures you've posted of stew or soup in a nasty
rusted crusted dutch oven on more than one occasion. I don't take
pictures to showcase my cooking. I take pictures if something comes out
looking good to me.

Not me... I don't own a dutch oven, and I cook in stainless steel, I
have no cast iron pots.

I really tasty meal can lose some of it's appeal with bad presentation.
My wife spends a lot of time setting a nice table, flowers, candles,
the good china... the works, but the poor girl has bad eyes and bad
hand eye coordination. Plus, she likes to talk while serving and doesn't
really watch what she is doing. I try to be more careful about keeping
the various dishes separate and organized. I don't go nuts on
presentation. There will be colours and is a good chance of a garnish of
some type, but I don't go for that decorative stacking of the
components. I especially dislike fish being served on top of my
potatoes and vegetables.

Those chicken legs don't even look grilled, they look baked, there are
no grill marks. And there is nothing appetizing about bare nekid
chicken legs, at least plate them, and no biggie to find some garnish,
even if a frilly toothpic/paper umbrella. Those legs don't even look
homemade, probably picked up at a deli, or left overs that arrived
home in a doggie bag.

If I showed up at Cheryl's house and saw that delicious grilled
chicken, I would eat half and wish I had more. What's wrong with you?

Sheldon is getting old and his mind is going....sad. I have posted
more than a few of my cooking pictures in the past and you've even
commented on them. I've taken pics of other things but the
presentation didn't look so good so I skipped them.

Pictures of anything described are always nice and I promote them too.
Once someone posts one though, they often just get criticized and
that's just wrong. No wonder people don't do pics often. Send a pic of
your food and you'll get comments about how your counter is filthy or
presentation isn't so good, or Hey...it that a filthy cat sitting on
your countertop?

I finally even got Julie to send a few pics and I loved them. Others
just criticized them. You need to encourage pics and not cut them
down. You also need to remember when people send pics and not claim
later that they never send any.

You say that like it's a bad thing. It's a common grill-out thing in
the US, eating out in your back yard. I would never use them inside
but several people here have mentioned doing that...like Sheldon.

So says a moron. I'll bet you that chicken tastes better than anything
you've ever made. Assuming you've ever even cooked. Good grillers can
recognize a good cooked chicken and Cheryl did a good job. Let's see
a pic of chicken that you cooked.

She hadn't plated it yet, but you can to be all fancy.

What? You're criticizing posts from the person that you said shared your
personality type? The person that beats you to off color remarks so you
don't have to say them? The person that shares your sense of humor? All of
this you said just last week. How quickly we forget. LOL
