Default Guacamole

Was that Gus who had the problem with avocados turning brown in the
refrigerator?

We made so much guacamole yesterday that some needed to be
refrigerated overnight. It was made with plenty of fresh lime and
there is no brown on it at all. I doubt it's going to last long
enough to spend another night in the refrigerator, so I won't be
reporting on how green it is for day 3.

Why does that pose a problem? Lots of posters here are on their x-th
identity. When they revert to whatever behavior it was that got them
kill filed previously - kill file them again.

I bought some pre-made last week. Small container. Angela ate some and a
couple of days later, the edge she had taken it from was brown. I had her
take it from the opposite side then toss it.

I saw a similar complaint when I was ordering food from Amazon.com. A
Seattle restaurant will deliver Mexican food through them. People
complained that if the guacamole wasn't eaten right away, it went brown.

That's what guacamole does. You can keep it a bit longer if you pour a
thin layer of lime juice on top then dump the lime juice before you go
back to eat it again.

Funny how it doesn't take long for them to expose themselves. It really
is pathetic to have to change your username over and over and over in
order to try to get people to try to read and reply to the idiocy.
Changing usernames several times is a pathetic admission that the person
is a complete loser.

Think about it, Dave. They have mental/personality issues. They get
medication, therapy, do 30 day or 12-step program, somehow cycle out
of whatever the craziness was and think they are fixed enough to
re-engage with online society. Until the regulars here can pick up
the pace and become more interesting, the complainers should re-kill
them and I will "indulge" them until they go off the deep end again.

Basically, I'm saying you (impersonal) complainers (and you are
definitely one of them) only seem to complain and you're boring.
There is very little in the way of real cooking talk coming from you
people so I honestly do NOT care what your opinion is about who I
engage online. Do what you (impersonal) want to do. Cry, carry on,
moan, groan and complain - but you are NOT contributing much or
anything on the topic of cooking. As pathetic as his food
contributions are, they are 100% better than the food contributions of
those who are complaining about him. So look at yourself in the
mirror the next time you want to post a negative about him. I know
when he has annoyed me enough to put him back into my kill file, but
apparently you don't and please don't give me the same BS that you put
out about Julie. If sub-threads between me and someone in your KF
bother you THAT much and you don't have the ability to ignore or kill
them, then find a news reader that will do it for you or STFU. Same
goes for Cheryl. I know I'm in her kill file and it was probably
because I talk to Julie. My reaction to that is "oh, boo hoo - cry me
a river".

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

ummm who is changing usernames?

I've been Gus for ages. People complained about "somebody" not being a
real name, so I changed that long time ago.

I like Julie... She seems like a nice person. And stays pretty much on
topic.

I will try the lime juice. Sounds like it may work. I've tried salsa
and the guac lasts a bit longer, but not a lot. I've tried soy sauce
too. With same result.

I guess I should just eat the avocado within a day.

The seeds prevent it going South about as good as anything. Throw them back in the mix and it will last longer than if you didn't. If you chunked the seeds by mistake..dont do it next time.
