I just bought a malt vinegar for the first time yesterday and am looking forward to trying it out - in what, I don't know, but I'll try it in something. Lately, I am partial to rice wine vinegar in many things - I think it adds a nice flavor and I even use it in places I wouldn't normally use vinegar, e.g., as a seasoning in a sauteed dish or stir-fry. -S- |

Kept the kids out of my plate when they were little, too. :-) > Lately, I am partial to rice wine vinegar in many things - I think it > adds a nice flavor and I even use it in places I wouldn't normally use > vinegar, e.g., as a seasoning in a sauteed dish or stir-fry. > > -S- > > -- Janet Wilder Way-the-heck-south Texas Spelling doesn't count. I was raised with malt vinegar and it is still what I put on my fish and chips. My mother used to put some on tomatoes or sliced cucumber too. It is still my favourite but I don't use it on everything. I use cider vinegar in mayonnaise. -- http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/shop/ |
