All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.

It looks lovely. Those cupcake cakes are ideal for a busy mum as they can be made in batches and frozen.

I had to steal that and FB it to my niece whose daughter LOVES
princesses now, ever since Frozen. It would make a great birthday
"cake" if she's still gaga over princesses in December. Cute!

I posted it here with the thought that other doting grandmothers,
mothers and aunts of "little princesses" would steal it. Let it be
known that the princess cupcake dress is not my idea, but I think it's
adorable and just what any (2) 3 or 4 year girl old would love as a
birthday "cake". Not sure how the older girls think, I'm not there
yet.

That's very cute. It reminds me of my 6th birthday (light years before
the cupcake cake craze) my mom had a neighbor make a doll cake. It
literally had a cheap plastic barbie-like doll in the center and the
cake was formed around it to look like Cinderella wearing a frosted blue
& white ball gown. I can still picture it. That was a very pretty cake!

I've made several of those cakes. I had a cake pan that was shaped sort
of like a cone, and it had a doll half with a pick at the waist that
went down into the top of the cake, and you decorate her in fancy swirls
and rosettes. I gave up cake decorating so I gave away all of my tools
and pans to my niece's babysitter and hope they are living an extended
life. I'd had most of that stuff, including several sets of wedding cake
pans and tiers ever since I was in my teens. Added to it over the years.

Tara, I didn't realize you swung that way,

You can still get that cake but in pink at the Target bakery. The Barbie
that comes with it is real. The cake is $40.

LOL! Thanks, but I haven't been six years old since 1966. Target
wasn't around then.

I had one of the doll cakes for a birthday back in the 60's too. Memories.
