Default Dinner 7/6/2014

Proudly, for me, I had another low carb dinner that I guess would be
considered paleo.

2 grilled hamburgers, no buns, and topped with grilled Vidalia onions.
The onion was sliced and wrapped whole in heavy duty foil so it was no
muss no fuss, which was a good thing because my boss called me to help
troubleshoot some web sites that went offline. I had to leave my onion
out there but I'd already taken the burgers off the grill, thank
goodness, and they were tented under foil to keep warm.

By the time I was finished working, the onion was soft and caramelized
nicely and made a perfect topper for my burgers, made with 90/10 ground
beef. I've never bought it that lean before and it has a much different
taste. But grilling over high heat kept them from drying out.

I can appreciate having to think about fat; but 90/10 better be something I can eat raw. For cooking I couldn't go any lower fat than 85/15.

Not criticizing, though. Love the whole onion thing, though.

My blood sugar was low before dinner. No clue why. It is hot, for her so
maybe that's why. I had some leftover beans, coleslaw and 2 Twizzlers. I
added the Twizzlers because the beans don't seem to have much effect on my
blood sugar. This turned out to be the perfect combination.

I think I have enough beans for 2 more days. Not much coleslaw though.
Need to get more of that mayo because dang it was good!

I doubt that the *75 degree* heat is the reason. I'd look for another cause.

Sometimes I wrap the burger and onion in a nice big butter lettuce
leaf and use in place of a bun. Holds condiments on it better this way
too.

I do that sometimes, too. But I really don't have a problem eating a
burger with toppings with a knife and fork.

Can't find one. I didn't even leave the house and mainly was sitting in my
computer chair all day. The only even remotely active thing that I did was
to put the last of the stuff away that I had stashed under the table when I
was laid up with my foot. I wanted to keep things there in case something
did happen and I had to rush off to the hospital again. I had a small bin
of food, a small bag of toiletries and a large bin of gauze and tape in
various sizes. Plus some oversized socks.
